From our initial conversations with RMI Corporation, it was clear they wanted a web partner to look closely at what they do and who they serve and help design a website that would serve their software company for years to come.
Our design process started with review and consultation to capture the mission and attitude of the business. We broke down what was on the current website, what was staying and what should be removed. We went over the overall feel and message they wanted to convey to their customers, segmented by their core audiences. Through this discovery process, we created a moodboard and color scheme with our ideas and inspirations to use as a reference during design. We also wrote copy for the core messages for 5 target audiences, and then we started the design process.
The first website design deliverable is the mockup of the homepage, communicating the look and feel for the new website. With the homepage approved we created designs demonstrating the responsive, mobile layouts that correspond to the landing pages. In all we designed 5 distinct landing pages as well as several core inner pages. The process took about 5 weeks, and upon design approval, our developers proceeded to create the elements, templates and scripts that would make it possible to create a conversion-oriented, aesthetically pleasing website presence that can be expanded after launch.
